  1. Myrna Loy is one of my favorites, though I don’t think I’ve ever seen her in a silent. Intelligent, pretty, and independent – what more could you ask for? You have good taste in things, and without any guidance from me. It’s remarkable.

  2. Craig,

I believe she is one of the lesser know actresses of her time. She began her acting career performing in an array of silent films such as What Price Beauty and Pretty Ladies. She had small roles in the films but left a mark. Yes, she was lovely. I have always enjoyed some of the more obscure films of the early 20th century.

  3. For sure. There is certainly a strong influence in the way she dresses and styles her hair. Before I even heard of her I was enamoured by the fashion of the 1920s. There is a photograph of me taken in 1994 posing in a beautiful bais cut pink slip, white blonde spun hair and the reddest bee sting lips you ever saw. It is no wonder my father loathed bringing me to the grocery store with him.
